Had late breakfast and early lunch at this PANXI restaurant. Need to settle the BF bill and contiuned with lunch. Cost BF RMB 195 and Lunch 148 for 6 of us.
Must try list here will the wan-tan noodle.

This will be my favourite restaurant in Guangzhou. They are famous for their craypot Eel - 黄鳝煲. Their fatty char siew - 老娘肥叉 is the best I have tasted, the same with the roast goose. Next time when I am there, must remember to bring a bottle of red wine or hard liquor to go with it.
Total cost of this lunch for 6 pax @ RMB 529.

Pork Leg Vinegar - 荔湾区第十六甫路1号
Was led to this small lane by the aroma of the Vinegar. One of the best Pork Leg Vinegar I have tasted. Sourness and sweetness was just right. Only RMB 5 each bowl. They also sell Pig Blood soup for RMB 2.

This place is where their locals go to for their daily “zi char” meal.
We have this very interesting dish, spinach with yam. My best veg dish for the trip. Yam is very “sung”. It was like drinking Orr Nee less the sweetness. The other dish we had - Salted roast pig leg, “water duck” and salted veg fatty pork.

Remember this small “food court”, where the locals go to for their lunch. It is near Chongnosi station. Was there in 2004 and was surprised to find the same stall still there.

Grilled Eel @ Ueno.
This modern yet traditionally decorated multistoried restaurant uses charcoal in the mountains of Wakayama Perfecture, which is said to produce the best charcoal in Japan to grilled the eel.
